Item Description
3.5". During a major speech in West Berlin on June 26, 1963 while speaking figuratively JFK stated "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" attempting to say "I Am A Citizen Of Berlin" some translated it to "I Am A Jelly Doughnut". Cartoonists had a field day with the gaffe which has been debated ever since. Separation of cello covering at metal back edge between 1 and 6 o'clock with air marks on surface in same area. Otherwise only minor surface wear and scattered air marks. These buttons were produced very cheaply and almost all display similar defects. VG. A classic and historical Kennedy item.
