Item Description
2x3x2.5" tall tin litho. Automatic Recording Safe, 1930s. There was also a version made in Japan featuring same graphics (but w/British Pound sign instead of dollar sign). Lid depicts Mickey and Minnie Mouse digging for treasure w/"Isle Of Thrift" sign in bkg. "We'll Do Our Best To Fill This Chest" text above slot. Sides feature illustrations of Mickey, Donald Duck, Pluto, Clara Cluck, Clarabelle Cow, Peter Pig and Big Bad Wolf w/city scene bkg. including "Bank" building and dirigible. Mickey holds two bags of money w/"$" dollar sign on each. Minor edge wear to lid, but still bright and glossy. Displays Exc. w/strong color. Scarce.
