Item Description
Lot of six. Each 7" tall. c. 1920s. Each has image of tobacco pack on back. Bottom of base reads "This 'Brownie' Tin Comes In Different Designs/Get A Collection/This Brand Of Tobacco Has Been Before The Public For A Great Number Of Years - In Quality It Stands Unsurpassed." First tin is "The Man From Scotland Yard." The rarest of the set. Light wear on bottom where tin sits. Bright, clean, VF example. Second is "The Businessman." Light wear on bottom as expected. Paint loss on top of head, mouth, pipe and front collar area. Color rub over shoulder. Good. Third is "Satisfied Customer." Scattered wear and tiny dent on top of head. Overall Fine. Next is "Mammy." Light general wear. Nice detail to bright eyes, pipe in mouth and bright red lips. Fine. Next is "The Storekeeper." Light general wear. Still a Fine example. Last is "The Singing Waiter." This is in the best condition of the six offered. Exc. color. Glossy finish. Almost no wear, even to bottom where it sat on counter. Exc. Difficult to find individually. Seldom offered as complete set, especially with Scotland Yard.
