3.25" tall beautiful figurine by the famous German company, c. 1932. This is #552 in the series w/incised number under base along w/"Rosenthal" company mark.Underside also has partial foil sticker in German that translates to "Mickey Mouse Brings Luck To Your House." Wonderfully expressive pose of grinning Mickey Mouse, who holds a six-shooter pistol in his hand. All Rosenthal figurines (see following item #1731) are rare, particularly in the US as they were never distributed here. Rosenthals are considered to be the finest Mickey figurines ever produced. Figurine has some tiny minor flakes to black paint at Mickey's wrists, front of one ear and on back by waistline. Figurine is o/w bright and glossy and is still a stunning piece. VF. Among the rarest and most desirable Mickeys and only the second we've offered of this piece in our 48 years. We last offered this figurine in our Nov. 2013 auction, where the Sendak Collection example sold for $6,325.
