Item Description
Matching pair, each 10.5" tall exceptionally well-made fully jointed hand-painted wood dolls reminiscent of those made by Schoenhut and Ideal. Superb detailing, Horace Horsecollar has separate collar w/fabric bow tie and bristle tail, Clarabelle Cow has metal cow bell around neck. Underside of one foot has hand-inked text "Walt Disney's Horace Horsecollar #2 By Keith Kaonis 1981" and "Walt Disney's 'Clarabelle' #2 By Keith Kaonis 1981." Superb and early creations by Keith Kaonis, who is known for his one-of-a-kind/extremely limited wooden Disney and other folk art creations. See Horace and Clarabelle bookshelf #1826.
