Item Description
4" tall (6.5" tall to top of raised wire handle) tin litho. Made in Australia by Willow, 1940s. Sides show Mickey and Minnie Mouse walking w/Pluto and his girlfriend Dinah the Dachshund. Pluto's kitten from the 1941 animated short "Lend A Paw" also appears beside Pluto's bowl. Pail has scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches w/some spots of oxidation on Mickey Mouse image. Interior shows wear/aging w/oxidation and underside of pail also exhibits scattered oxidation, though this has stabilized. VG overall, and first we've offered in our 48 years of this pail featuring rare appearances by Pluto supporting characters. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection and this is the actual example shown in their book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
