Item Description
This 1948 Cheerios premium is the largest premium ever offered and one of the most difficult to complete. Offered here is the complete set of the mail-away portion of this set (missing just two envelopes). The first part of this premium was issued on backs of Cheerios cereal boxes and are numbered 1-28. Offered here are the remaining set pieces that came in two 7x14" original mailing envelopes. Envelopes contained the four layout sheets showing the terrain in color on one side w/extensive assembly directions and promotion text on reverse. Envelopes are lightly tanned and show wear. Fine. Each section came folded and opens to 20x26" w/markings for placement of 71 pieces. All four sections are evenly aged but extremely clean w/one having 3.75" split along fold line, rest show only trace scattered wear. Each envelope also contains the folded as issued (uncut) panels w/the remaining numbered parts. All pieces numbered 29 through 71 are extremely clean, intact and unpunched/uncut. Rare to find as a set and in unused condition.
