Item Description
Pair of tin litho sand pails made in the 1950s. Smallest is 4.5" tall (7" tall to top of raised wire handle) and features busy scene of children playing at the beach, a beach tent visible. There are several sand pails marked "Present From Seaside" seen in scene. Made in England by Happynak. Scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches w/more moderate wear to interior. Pail is still Fine/VF for display. Larger pail measures 6-7/8" tall (10.5" tall to top of raised handle) and features different images of children at play at the beach. Of note, children are seen playing w/sand pails and sand sifter. Made in Germany, pail has company mark inside triangle and reads "FLL." Pail has some scattered aging and 1" area of spider-webbing/oxidation by standing girl's head. Handle has some scattered trace oxidation. Fine overall. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
