Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 2" dia. heavy well-made watch by Bradley. ©1959 NCP. Box lid features same image as seen on watch dial, that of Superman flying across city skyline at center of dial w/"Superman" comic book title/logo above. Lid side panels feature city skyline w/"Official Superman Stop Watch" text on front side panel. Lid has two corner splits and .5" spot of surface paper lift from tape removal to side panel, opposite side panel has small piece of aged tape. Box is still bright and clean. Fine overall. Box is very rare, this is the first example we've offered in our 48 years. Watch works as a normal pocket watch but also has lever on the upper left side that allows for use as stop watch. Complete and running. Back of case shows luster wear and dial shows trace of wear that is mostly only noticeable upon close inspection. Fine overall. Scarce. Franco Toscanini Collection.
