Item Description
9.5" tall glazed ceramic. ©1949 Nat. Com. Pub. Inc. We have only seen a few of these rare banks and they were variety of white ceramic w/red/blue over-the-glaze paint accents and a solid pink color variety. This is solid black color variety. Raised "Superman" name on front of base. Raised "S" on back of cape. Missing trap. Exc. First we've seen of this color variety. Impressive figural piece. Franco Toscanini Collection.
