Lot of four magazines, each approx. 5.25x8.5". Included are - March (#4), May (#6), June (#7) and July (#8), 1943 issues. The first issue of this magazine was published Aug. 1942 w/the second following five months later in Jan. 1943. First two feature "Stuckey's - Rockford, ILL." store imprint on backs while others feature "Snellenburg's - Philadelphia, PA." and "Myers Childrens Shop - Schenectady, N.Y." imprints on backs. Great Superman content in all such as puzzles, secret codes, comic previews, illustrations and more. March issue mentions Victory Garden and has fold-out page showing premium items including button, "Press" card and poster stamps as well as sweaters. Issue features preview reprint from "Action Comics" showing Lois Lane as Superwoman. Back cover has some insect damage to margins and is VG/Fine. May issue also mentions Victory Gardens and features Anti-Axis content and fold-out page advertising "Stuckey's" clothing. Issue features preview reprint from "Action Comics." June issue has fold-out page advertising "Snellenburg's" clothing w/image of Superman w/shoe. Issue features preview reprint from "Action Comics." One puzzle completed in pencil. Poster area on back w/grease penciling. May and June issues show varying degrees of aging/handling wear. Fine overall. July issue features patriotic theme w/Uncle Sam within. Donald Duck pictured for one game. Anti-Axis content. Fold-out page advertising "Myers Children's Shop" clothing. Issue features preview reprint from "Action Comics." Inked recipient's name/address on back. Cover loose w/archival tape repair and 1.5x1.5" piece torn from back cover at bottom of spine. Good. Scarce early issues. Franco Toscanini Collection.
