Item Description
3.25x4.75" tin litho base w/different character art on all panels featuring Wimpy, Olive Oyl and scene of Alice the Goon (who holds Swee'Pea) punching the Sea Hag. Overall height is 9.5" when separate jointed tin litho Popeye figure is placed in position by means of wire rod emerging from roof. When built-in key is wound, Popeye dances while Olive rocks from side to side while seated on "Spinach" case. Marx, c. mid-1930s. Base has some oxidation at one corner and Popeye and Olive Oyl figures also have some scattered trace oxidation, w/Olive Oyl having moderate aging to one half of head. This area has had some black paint touch-up. Toy works. VG/Fine overall.
