Item Description
11x15x1-3/8" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains complete and unused set by Handicraft Creators, Inc. ©1957 M. Carlton Dank. Lid has some corner tip wear w/one corner split. Fine. Underside of lid features illustrated instructions for use of set, which includes four 4x4-1/8" thin aluminum sheets from Alcoa Aluminum Mill Products. These each feature different two-color images (two of the images shown on lid are not included as set contents varied) of Popeye w/barbells, punching thug, holding Swee'Pea and "S.S. Popeye" anchor design w/Popeye, Olive Oyl and Swee'Pea portraits. These designs were meant to be tapped w/included painted wood tapping mallet and tapping punch. Contents are unused and aside from one corner of aluminum sheet w/bend, set and illustrated inserts are Exc. Scarce. Don Maris Collection.
