Item Description
Matching pair of padded and embroidered fabric egg cozies. Smaller 3-3/8x3.75" (w/original "With Best Wishes" cellophane wrapper) cozy and larger 6.75x9.5" cozy have matching embroidered design featuring Mickey Mouse w/yellow gloves/shoes and white pants w/lt. blue buttons. Made in England as larger has original C. Badcock & Co. Ltd. price tag still attached to reverse. 1930s. Smaller cozy designed to hold single egg features Mickey looking at hatching egg w/"Tell Me I Beg - Are You An Egg?" embroidered text. Lightly aged but unused and VF/Exc. Larger was designed to accommodate bowl of eggs and features image of Mickey taking his hat off to crow in tree w/"Good Morning To You Mrs. Crow! I Love A New Laid Egg You Know" embroidered text. Cozy has some scattered lt. aging but appears o/w unused. VF/Exc. Both are first we've seen in our 48 years. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
