Item Description
6" dia. by 2.5" tall, 1 lb. tin for "Superfine Mickey Mouse Cocoa" complete w/lid. Sweetacres of Australia. 1930s w/Disney copyright. Side text reads in part "Prepared By James Stedman-Henderson's Sweets Limited. 'Sweetacres,' Rosebery, Sydney, Australia." Illustrated lid variety (also issued w/generic lid w/just company name) features excited image of Mickey Mouse while sides feature additional image of him plus Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto. Tin shows scattered wear w/trace oxidation to unpainted portions. Top rim has minor denting and side has 1" area of rippling/denting beneath "Cocoa" text. Still bright and glossy overall w/strong color. Fine overall and nicer than typically found. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
