Item Description
11x16.5" thin artboard features artist Jose Delbo's pen and ink original art for page 12 of the Feb. 1987 issue of "Thundercats" #8, published by Marvel Comics "Star Comics" imprint. Delbo began his American comics career in the 1960s, working on "Supergirl, Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen" and "Wonder Woman" as well as working on "Transformers." Five-panel page features explosion rocking the Thundercats' Cats' Lair headquarters, which causes Panthro, Tigra and Snarf to react in alarm w/last panel showing them as well as Lion-O and Cheetara swept away by a flood. Page has been inked by Al Gordon. Top margin has production notations w/taped page number at bottom center. Bottom right corner has been clipped and upper margin has been trimmed, though not affecting art in any way. Fine/VF overall w/Exc. art. See following items #1690-1692 plus see items #2262-2272.
