Item Description
Lot of two. First is 2.5x3" unused paper label reading "The Gumps/Gingerale." Product of Bon-Ton Beverages Inc. Chicago. Bright colorful image of Andy with other characters toasting. N. Mint. Second item is 5x6.5" color card holding 4.75" record. c. 1920. Image on card shows Andy Gump at podium. Text on podium reads "He Wears No Man's Collar/100% For The People/Andrew Gump For President." Back of card lists 10 points of Gump's platform, including "Prohibit The Use Of Saxophones In Residents Districts." Makes light of several issues of the day including League of Nations and major league baseball. Record is attached with two original staples. Hole in middle of record and through card indicates record may possibly have been played without being removed from card. Record is yellowed with age. Light surface dust to card. .75" corner crease at bottom right but o/w VF. From the Gary Selmonsky collection.
