Item Description
Pair of 2.25x4.25" tickets (printed by Globe Ticket Company) for Game 5 of the 1929 World Series between the Philadelphia Athletics and the Chicago Cubs at Shibe Park in Philadelphia, PA on Oct. 14, 1929. Tickets are for adjoining Main Stand Lower Pavilion seats that originally cost $5.50. Tickets feature great illustration of bear and elephant w/baseballs and bats around borders. Philadelphia won this game, ending the series w/the Athletics winning their first Championship in 16 years. One ticket has stub loose while other is still attached, but shows wear along perforated line. Scattered lt. edge wear. Fine-VF. Scarce as complete pair.
