Item Description
Vintage glossy 3.5x5.5" real photo postcard shows close-up glamour portrait of María Cristina Estela Marcela Jurado García, better known as Katy Jurado (1924-2002), a Mexican film, stage and television actress. She had a successful film career both in Mexico and in Hollywood, working w/many Hollywood legends, including Gary Cooper in "High Noon," Spencer Tracy in "Broken Lance" and Marlon Brando in "One-Eyed Jacks." She became the first Latin American actress nominated for an Academy Award, as Best Supporting Actress for her work in 1954's "Broken Lance," and was the first to win a Golden Globe Award in 1952. Postcard has been boldly signed in blue felt tip pen. Minor corner tip wear. Jurado's name and date original owner received postcard have been inked on reverse. VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
