Item Description
Each of these pieces is 1-5/16” diameter by .25” tall. They are designed as a stack of four gold coins. Each has a pull-off lid that reveals an interior compartment for pills or stamps. In DeWitt/Sullivan the Harrison example is 1892-62 and the Cleveland is 1892-61. The opposing candidates are displayed beneath their slogans on the top of the boxes while on the underside are portraits of their running mates with one reading “Harrison & Reid 1892” and the other “Cleveland & Stevenson 1892”. The Harrison is bright brass with traces original luster while the Cleveland has Exc. original luster. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
