Item Description
20x29" thin artboard has pen and ink original art by John Liney, credited as Carl Anderson. For Sept. 28, 1958 Sunday, which featured 11 panels (not counting paste-over title panel, which shows heavy aging from glue). Henry is sick in bed, causing his mother to call doctor. Doctor arrives and checks Henry over, proceeding to remove file, hammer, hatchet and drill from his doctor's bag. Henry's mother comes in and assumes the doctor is about to operate, causing her to faint. Last panel shows the doctor and Henry looking over unconscious mother on couch, the doctor remarking that she reacted rather strongly to him showing Henry the tools he got for his nephew. Eighth panel has KFS copyright strip paste-over. Last panel has been dated. Some faint penciling related to dialogue can be seen below this panel. Margins have some scattered editorial markings and have pin holes at top corners. Scattered aging/wear to margins, w/moisture stain at bottom right, not affecting art. Artboard is Fine overall, but art remains clean and Exc.
