Auction #216 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 977 in auction 216
Item Description
First is a 1.25” litho button, among the very first ever made and there is a Taft mate from 1908. At the top of the reverse a folded over tab originally held a vertical pin but a portion of the tab snapped off so instead a standard spring pin has been inserted within the curl. Front of the piece shows only a couple of small hairline marks on the background and for this early litho paint remains extremely fine. The other piece is a full color large portrait button 2-1/8” with W&H back paper. Couple of very minor hairline scratches only in reflected light. Very clean and glossy and in a very large impressive size. Julie Powell Collection.
