Item Description
Hake #216. 7/8” with W&H back paper which has a small crayon mark on it at the bottom. This back paper, which is sealed in place by the lower edge of the collet, first came into use in 1912. Bryan supported Wilson that year and was then appointed Secretary Of State, the top cabinet position. Between 1913-1915, Bryan spent much time negotiating some 28 treaties. At the same time he actively supported both the Prohibition movement and the Women’s Suffrage movement. We believe the text on the button “Facing The Future/Let The Majority Rule” applies to these issues. Button is NM displaying Mint.
