Item Description
This button is 2-1/8” and is also known in several smaller sizes. There are a few very light .25” or smaller surface scratches showing in reflected light. There are six exceedingly tiny, near microscopic, darker dots on the extreme rim edge. The button has its W&H back paper along with perfect centering and high gloss. The spring pin holds a ribbon with large W&H paper label on the reverse. The button was used for a “Delegate” to the “Republican State Convention Des Moines July 20, 1904.” Couple of gold letters have lost some color and there is a little unevenness at the very bottom edge of the ribbon. The button itself displays Mint and is gorgeous. The Hake 2004 guide value for the button alone is $1450. Julie Powell Collection.
