9.25x15.75x1.75" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains parts for smaller of two Flash Gordon casting sets by Home Foundry Mfg. Co. Inc. ©1934 KFS Inc. Lid art includes comic strip reprint panels by creator Alex Raymond. Inside of lid has instructions. Complete w/die-cut cardboard box insert holding the various pieces in place. Scattered lt. surface paper wear under lead "pigs" but o/w VF. Box has scattered aging/dust soiling w/some scattered minor edge wear but box remains free of splits and remains tight. Underside of box has .5" puncture. Fine/VF. Set includes electric upright casting ladle w/base, pair of wooden handles, bottle of paint, paintbrush and illustrated instruction booklet which shows aging/wear and is VG/Fine. Also has two-piece mold used to cast 2.5" tall figures of Flash Gordon on horse, Dale Arden and patrolman as well as the four "Pigs Of Casting Metal" and original clamp. Mold clamp has some scattered oxidation and is VG/Fine while rest of contents appear unused w/just lt. general aging. VF-Exc.
