Box shows obvious handling wear w/numerous creases and has had restoration including interior reinforcements added, some glue repairs and color touch-ups. Box is o/w complete and all original. VG. While box lists toy as "Charlie McCarthy And Mortimer Snerd Coupe," toy itself has "Charlie McCarthy And Mortimer Snerd Private Car" name on passenger side door. Car body has great design featuring geometric patterns. Separate tin litho Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd heads stick out of roof. Top of windshield frame reads "Sunshine Top." Car is designed w/pair of protruding bumpers, each complete w/rubber bumper guard. Comes w/replacement key, toy works and travels forward until front bumper strikes an object, causing the vehicle to reverse its direction until rear bumper is struck. While car travels, both heads spin. Grille plating shows much wear and car body as well as figures' necks show scattered paint nicks/scratches. Fine/VF. Rare w/box.
