Auction #216 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 977 in auction 216
Item Description
This piece from the early 1900s is 8.75” tall and holds a very convex 4.5” piece of beautifully hand colored porcelain. The weight of the entire piece is quite substantial. Depicted beneath the company name are icebergs with a ship atop one while in the foreground an arctic explorer with a rifle stares across a chasm in the ice at a fierce polar bear. Brass luster is a bit muted on the handle and frame of the side with the illustration but NM on the underside which holds large beveled edge mirror with near 100% silvering. An exceptional piece. Rare.
