Item Description
First is 1.25” for driver who later became NASCAR commissioner. This 1.25” was issued to “Member” of his “Club” c. 1920. He was famous for point to point drives often sponsored by motorcycle or car makers. He was the victor in the 1909 first race held at newly-built Indianapolis Speedway. His nickname came from famous 1914 trans-continental drive and name was derived from the cannon ball train of Illinois Central made famous by Casey Jones. Second is 1.75” from 1930s famous race with flags displayed above speeding race car and with one including the German swastika. Both are essentially Mint.
