Item Description
1.75". 1960. Issued in Oregon likely to supporters attending the National Convention in Los Angeles. While he had not actively campaigned for the nomination Stevenson made a last ditch effort to obtain it. His efforts fell short when he could not get the support of his home state of Illinois delegates and ended up coming in fourth as Kennedy overwhelmingly won the first ballot for nomination. Tiny pinpoint indentation on Stevenson's neck seen only in reflected light. NM. Julie Powell Collection.
