These reference a photograph taken during a Stevenson campaign rally that revealed one of his soles to have a hole in it. The moment became a rallying cry for both sides and won the 1953 Pulitzer Prize for photography. Row 1 #1 and Row 2 #1 are both litho buttons with several tiny dots of missing paint. VF.
