Three planes are seen in bkg. while foreground has detailed image of gunner firing rounds at an enraged Kong. A broken shackle can be seen around Kong's wrist and city skyline can be seen in bkg. Mixed media original art was created by Ken Steacy for cover to comic book "King Kong The Eighth Wonder Of The World" published by Fantagraphics Books in 1991. Steacy is a comic artist/writer best-known for his work on NOW Comics' "Astro Boy" comic book series and Comico's "Jonny Quest" comic series as well as his graphic novel collaborations w/Harlan Ellison ("Night And The Enemy" - 1987) and Dean Motter ("The Sacred And The Profane" - 1987). Art has been signed in purple by Steacy at lower right, adding "91" date. Steacy has also added "For Obie!" personal inscription.
