Pair of approx. 9.25x12" programs. "2nd Edition" program published by Navy Relief Society of US Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, NJ. Contents include photos/text about 1928 maiden flight of the Graf Zeppelin from Friedrichshafen, Germany to Lakehurst, later Mediterranean cruise flights, photos/text, sponsored ads related to the upcoming flight around the world by the Graf Zeppelin. Inside back cover has illustrated Veedol motor oil advertisement. Contents include history of airship development, biography of Count Von Zeppelin and much more. Included is a loose mimeographed sheet of general information/map for visitors to the Lakehurst event. Folded as issued. Program has handling wear and some pinch creases w/small spots of pink staining to/by spine. Fine. 1936 program was published by same Navy Relief Society w/contents including photos/text related largely to the maiden flight of German airship Hindenburg (LZ-129) from Friedricshafen, Germay to Lakehurst. Contents include detailed Hindenburg diagram, photos of officers, specifications, interior images and much more. Scattered handling wear w/pinch creases to spine. Fine/VF.
