Item Description
Lot of 13 handwritten notes/letters from Hollywood actress and dancing legend Ginger Rogers to same woman, Rogers' close personal friend Violet, whom she often referred to as "Sister." All c. 1970s, several are dated as such. One note in particular reads "Put This On Your Door Dear Violet If You Don't Wish To Be Disturbed" and has smiley face sketch by Ginger. Note comes w/4-5/8x8.75" dayglo "Do Not Disturb" sign. Another note is on "The Beverly Hills Hotel" stationery (dated Feb. 10, 1972) and mentions God and science. Another on "The Carlyle" hotel stationery (dated April 13, 1974) has Ginger asking Violet to keep something for her. Other highlights include mention of books, nightlight for apartment Violet was staying at, name and phone number of Ginger's neighbor, clothes, writing supplies, enclosed photos, food for personal stay, etc. All have been signed "Ginger." Scattered handling wear and aging, Fine to Exc. overall. A unique and personal lot. Comes with Hake's COA and single JSA LOA, but all come from same source and are authentic as such.
