13x26x3.5" deep textured paper-covered cardboard box w/illustrated lid label contains tin litho O-Gauge train set consisting of working wind-up locomotive (R 910 O-4-O), tender (R 919), two passenger cars (17270) and freight car (17288). Made in Germany by Märklin Bros. & Co., Goeppingen, late 1940s/early 1950s. Box shows heavy and obvious wear w/moisture staining and missing surface paper on front side panel of lid (about half missing). Left side panel of lid is missing 3" section. Good/VG overall, but lid label is only slightly affected and still displays nicely. Set also contains pair of aged German/French instruction sheets, eight sections of curved track, three pieces of straight track and two short pieces of straight track and one switch. Set appears unused and is Exc.
