Item Description
Sizes are 7.5” to 10.5”. Group begins with one for “26th Annual Reunion” which corresponds to event in 1900. Next from 1905 includes text “Lewis & Clark Centennial” with image of “Dr. John McLoughlin, Father Of Oregon.” This and eight others in the lot have a small horizontal tan mark at top and bottom each about .25” tall by 1” wide caused by adhesive that originally held them into an album. All adhesive is removed although these faint marks remain on the eight. Next ribbon is from 1907. Next from 1908 references “Oregon Press Association.” Next span 1908-1912. The following 1913 ribbon has hairline .5” split bottom left. Also from 1913 is a gorgeous ribbon badge with beautiful celluloid of frontiersman who has just shot a deer. 1914 ribbon pictures Wilson Price Hunt, 1915 ribbon pictures Jonathan Carver, 1916 ribbon pictures Gabriel Franchere. The 1917 ribbon includes large celluloid. Another 1917 ribbon is for “Woman’s Reception Committee.” 1918 ribbon shows David Douglas and has a little tanning mostly at upper right. 1919 ribbon pictures “Eli Thayer.” Numerous pinholes near the top. A very nice group of very limited issue historic Oregon ribbons.
