Each is 7/8” with ten having American Pepsin Gum paper and seven W&H paper. These are pictured in the 1897 W&H “Button Collectors” booklet with an issue price of 35¢ for the 17 sold under the title “The Warships Of The U.S.” Set is very similar to the preceeding “White Squadron” set. On these the sky area is blue and the flags do not have color accent. A wonderful group showing the ships which led to the rapid American victory in the Spanish-American-Cuban War. All are NM to Mint.
