Item Description
Sizes are 1-1/16” up to 1.5”. Group begins with brass luster piece dated 1945 showing both “MacArthur/Eisenhower” plus slogan “Allied Victory Over The Axis” and initials “V.J. & V.E.” Additional text on back referring to each as “Victorious Commander…” Next is silver luster piece with front text “Gen. MacArthur Cup Competition Metal.” Reverse has bar pin with shaft within a tube and text that reads “Second Competition 1948 At Tokyo/Lawn Tennis/Softball Tennis/Table Tennis.” A rare piece from the occupation years. Next are a similar pair both titled “MacArthur Award” with first for “National Garden Institute” and second for “National Victory Garden Institute.” First references “Outstanding Achievement” and second has the same but with smaller text “Boy Scouts Of America” with specific reference to “War Food Program.” Next are three 1947 coins from the Philippines. These contain about ½ oz. of silver. Next is 1.5 oz. metal marked “Sterling” on the edge plus serial number issued for his death in 1964. Next row begins with another “Sterling” medal with reverse showing him at 1945 signing of the Japanese surrender. Next is another memorial with a serial number on the side but it is not designated sterling. Next is a 1989 “Five Dollars” coin issued by an island close to New Zealand. Next in row 4 is miniature of the medal awarded to him by Act Of Congress October 1962. Next is 1971 from “Gallery Of Great Americans” medal. Next is for him with reverse “Great Seal Of The State Of Arkansas.” Copyright 1965. Last is a poker chip for “$1” with same image on each side. Nearly all are NM to Mint.
