Item Description
2.5". With union bugs at 3, 9 and 12 O'clock. One at 3 o'clock is from Chicago. Striking graphic of foot prints with bold text. This button was worn by civil rights activists during demonstration outside the 1960 Democratic National Convention. With the party effectively split on civil rights, demonstrators attempted to apply pressure to eventual nominee John F. Kennedy by using their feet outside the convention center. The demonstration brought out many notable activists including Dr. Martin Luther King. Tiny bump in white field at 3 o'clock from bar pin back otherwise only light surface wear. Exc. displaying Mint.
