Item Description
2.25" with "The Sommer Badge Mfg. Co. Newark, N.J." on curl at 6 o'clock. Reads "March For Freedom With The Youth Crusaders Org. Of New Jersey". Dated at top for the famous March on Washington For Jobs and Freedom where Dr. King gave his historic "I Have A Dream" speech. The demonstration attracted groups from across the country but surprisingly few groups produced special buttons. Tiny cluster of faint light brown spots in the white field below the "O" and "M" in "Freedom" and faint surface wear seen in reflected light. VF. This is among the rarest buttons from the march and is the first we have encountered in five decades.
