Item Description
12x16-1/8" stiff sheet of art paper has mixed media original art for the front of box VHS for 1993 release of "Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla," a 1974 Japanese sci-fi/kaiju film produced by Toho that received a very limited theatrical release in the US in early 1977 by Cinema Shares as "Godzilla Vs. The Bionic Monster." After roughly a week into its release, the film was reissued w/the altered title of "Godzilla Vs. The Cosmic Monster," which is the release this art was created for, albeit for a GoodTimes VHS release almost 20 years later. Art features Godzilla using his atomic breath on Mechagodzilla's neck while the mechanical kaiju fires his eyebeams into the sky. Art was created by Zina (who also provided art for GoodTime's release of "Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster," aka "Ebirah, Horror Of The Deep"), who has signed art to right of Mechagodzilla. Exc. Great image featuring two fan-favorite characters.
