Item Description
From same publication as previous items #1681-1682. 14x18-3/8" thin artboard has pen and ink original art for page 42 and features eight panels, showing Meef the dragon flying behind Odkin in the Sky Boat in first panel. Second panel shows Odkin using his new mental powers to confuse Meef, making it appear as if Sky Boat has disappeared. Third through fifth panels show great Wood scene of door w/eye that slowly opens as the door recognizes Odkin. Next panel shows Odkin return w/broken sword, taking it to Dimdroil's forge in following panel. Last panel shows Odkin holding reforged sword. All art by Wood, recognized for his work at EC Comics w/"MAD" and sci-fi titles, Topps' series of "Mars Attacks" gum cards as well as his work on "Daredevil" for Marvel Comics. Some of Wood's preliminary blue pencil art is visible and last panel has dialog paste-over. Artboard has some lt. aging to screentone, but art is o/w clean and VF.
