Item Description
Original cardboard box w/woodgrain design contains toy w/overall size of 5x11.5x3.75" tall. "A Right-Time Toy" by Childhood Interests, Inc. c. 1955. Box features images of boy w/toy and instructions. Box's die-cut display lid has been punched and has creases and shows wear in surrounding area. Fine overall. Tom-Tom is comprised of thick cardboard w/paper labels, wood and thin rubber covers (missing string accents on sides). Center attachment has cord and can be used as either a hand grip or for attaching around neck to keep both hands free. Comes w/single wooden mallet (issued w/two), which shows some wear. Illustrated w/images of Davy Crockett and Chief Red Stick including action scenes. Rubber covers remain firmly intact w/o punctures/cuts though both have aged and each has inking to tops. Set is o/w Fine/VF. A rarely seen Davy Crockett item, only the second we have offered in our 48 years.
