Item Description
Extensive lot of promotional items for the 1956 re-release of Disney's 1946 live-action/animated feature. Lot includes complete set of eight 11x14" lobby cards (including one w/Tar Baby image) and original worn plain envelope. Cards are lightly aged but Exc. overall. Scarce as a complete set. Lot also includes three movie posters -
Two versions of the 27x39" one-sheet.
One is regular one-sheet and is folded as issued w/wear along fold lines and fold crease intersections, including .5" to 1" splits. If framed, would display Fine.
Second one-sheet is marked "Contest" on back and features totally different design w/Scotch Tape contest at bottom listing prize of 25 trips to Disneyland. Folded as issued, poster has some lt. wear at fold creases intersections but is o/w Exc.
Lot also includes 21x28" half-sheet poster which features film synopsis and images, including Tar Baby image. Folded as issued w/scattered wear w/1" tears along fold line edges. Fine. Scarce variety.
Lot also includes rare 12x21.25" die-cut illustrated cardboard mobile that features three panels and forms triangular hanging display. Two sides feature Brer Bear, Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit while other side features film title. Scattered wear at edges and along folds. Fine/VF.
As a bonus, lot comes w/original 1946 release"Song Of The South" folder which contains nine glossy stills, eight w/attached text sheets. Folder shows obvious wear and just comes along.
