11.25x14.25x.75" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains near complete (missing just instructions and rubberbands) and mostly unused set. Warren Paper Products Co. "Built-Rite Toy" set No. 110. 1937. Box lid features great image of two boys playing w/assembled set. Box bottom serves as base when assembled and includes artwork w/punch-out tabs, which remain intact. Lid has edge wear w/some soiling at bottom left corner and some scattered surface paper off along bottom edge. Set consists of 10 different cardboard punch-out sheets in different sizes but mostly 9.5x12.5". Parts are colorful and assemble to form a rocketship control base building, three different rocketships, force ray, disintegrator, paralysis ray as well as two rubber band-firing space guns. There is also a sheet of 11 different character figures including - Buck Rogers, Wilma Deering, Dr. Huer, Mekkano Man and others. Guns were used to fire rubberbands at figures. Black sheet w/stands for figures/ships has been punched. Sheet w/gun has one half of gun loose and sheet shows moderate wear. One small piece has been punched from figure sheet, but o/w set is unused. Scattered aging and lt. wear to punch-out sheets. Fine-VF overall. One of the most incredible Buck Rogers items in terms of design and rarity, further enhanced by the unused condition of the contents. One of just three known in this unused condition w/only a handful of examples in any condition existing.
