This is a very scarce ring offered briefly by Quaker cereals in the summer of 1941 with expiration date of 8/30/41 with the promotional text in newspaper ads telling readers to order “Before Orphan Annie Comes Back On The Air Next Fall.” Ring has “SG” initials on each side while the top has her portrait covered by a small magnifying glass in a brass frame with a pin on the upper edge so it can be swiveled. This example has been professionally cleaned. While it has none of the original luster flashing it also has no tarnish. All surfaces are a bright golden brass tone with essentially Mint appearance. A beautiful example of a scarce ring.
