Item Description
Largest piece is 5.5x7.5” and the others are smaller and to scale. All have folds as issued. Group begins with lightly tanned paper for the Fireball Twigg Explorer’s ring from 1948. Second is partially tanned instructions for the Lone Ranger flashlight ring. 25% (the reverse of one side) has dust soil and tanning but the other 75% remains clean. Next is instruction sheet for the Roy Rogers Microscope ring. Some ink stamped letters on the blank reverse and some extra small creases but still displays well. Next is scarce four page folder with title reading “Here It Is! Your Rin-Tin-Tin Magic Ring!” Some scattered brown spots on the front cover. Back has a .25x1” long dark brown mark. These probably came from the wax “Magic Pencil” which came with the ring and was used to reveal secret messages. Scarce and very good. Last is a “Mary Jane” candy bar wrapper with margin picturing and describing the “Orbit Rocket Ring With Glow-In-Dark Nose Cone.” We have never seen an actual example of this ring which the wrapper text describes as “Be The First To Wear This Orbit Rocket Ring... A scale model of the Faith VII capsule that orbited the earth 22 times is mounted on an all-metal, gold-finished ring, that you adjust to fit your finger exactly. You can send secret signals, at night or in a dark room, with the glow-in-dark nose cone!” The ring was supposedly available for 25 cents and five of these wrappers. Wrapper has many creases but is bright and fresh. The ring references the flight of astronaut L. Gordon Cooper which took place May 15, 1963.
