Item Description
Sheets all have original creases from mailing but all are in extremely clean condition. Largest piece is 7.9” with the rest smaller and to scale. Group begins with stiff cardboard used as a wrapper for the “His Nibs” Compass Ring and this comes along with its mailing envelope from Nabisco Shredded Wheat. There is a small break on both the cardboard and envelope due to pressure applied while the ring was in mailing transit. Both still display clean and Fine. Next is small flier promoting and with order form for the “Kellogg’s Pep Jet Plane Ring.” Next are instructions for the Roy Rogers “Microscope Ring.” Next on thin paper with many tiny creases as is typical is the instruction sheet for the Lone Ranger/Cheerios “Saddle Ring.” Last is multi premium order form from General Mills. This includes the offer of a “Mickey Mantle Fielder’s Glove.” What we find most interesting is the top portion of this form indicating that it was sent along with a “Kix ‘Atomic’ Ring.” This ring was a smash hit when General Mills offered it as a Lone Ranger tie-in in 1947. Mantle did not join the Yankees until 1951 so the Bomb ring was still being offered after a minimum of four years. Paper sheet has twelve pinpoint staple holes with tiny archival tape repairs to three small tears done on the reverse side.
