Auction #185 - Part II
Item numbers 946 through 2530 in auction 185
Item Description
5" tall with 1.75" celluloid button held in ornate brass rope frame to overall size of 2". Ribbon reads "Centennial 1814-1914 Birthplace Of General Custer New Rumley Ohio." Ribbon is VF and brass hanger at top just has a .25" sliver of darker tarnish but most luster remains. The celluloid has inset photo without dot pattern at top right captioned "Gen. George A. Custer." Below is detailed drawn illustration of two-story home surrounded by trees with text below "General Custer's Birthplace New Rumley, Ohio." Celluloid has trivial wear with magnification and displays glossy and Mint. Reverse has backpaper we don't recall seeing before reading "Made By Fuller Regalia & Costume Co. Worcester, Mass." Only example we know of.
