Item Description
22x28.25" thin cardboard poster for April 10, 1965 concert that took place at the 5th Regiment Armory in Baltimore, MD featuring Hank Ballard and The Midnighters, known for their songs "Finger Poppin' Time, Twist, Let's Go Again, Singing And Swinging, Good Twistin' Tonight, It's Twistin' Time, Do You Know How To Twist, Continental Walk" and "Ring A-Ling-A-Ling," all of which are listed by photo of Ballard and the band at left. Concert also featured Louis Rogers and The Magnificent Seven Orchestra, w/Rogers' photo at lower left. Printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Poster has some scattered color rubs to Ballard's name at center and margins have a number of tears, most notable being 3.75" L-shaped tear at center right and 1.25" tear just above this. Both tears have archival tape repairs on reverse and upper right has had archival tape reinforcement added to heavy crease. Each corner has hole punched w/upper left corner having .75" tear/pull. Other corners are missing corner pieces ranging in size from 1x1.25" to 1x1.5". Venue name area has a few surface scratches. VG overall, but would matte for a nice display. Scarce.
