From the collection of Sen. Phil Arthurhultz, and comes with certificate signed by him and Ted Hake. 7” x 9” x 4” deep metal box made in Japan in the 1970’s. Box features images of the Japanese pop duo, Pink Lady, who debuted and enjoyed a brief success in the U.S. in the late 1970’s. Front of box features them in white sequined outfits and features the pair pointing and a small cartoon image of them as cats which also appear on sides. Front and back of box also has facsimile signature “Pink Lady” written in English with Japanese text beneath. Box also has Japanese text above. Back panel features Pink Lady in red outfits with arms raised. Both front and back panel’s have embossed edges, with just the slightest trace of paint wear at corners. Left hand side panel has 1/8” nick to paint, showing bare metal. Rest of box is glossy and bright with two small paint nicks on front and a ¼” hairline scratch on back panel. Front panel has a ½” convex dent which is only visible in reflected light. Bottom panel has small area of convex denting, but this does not break paint and not visible when viewed straight on. Exc. This box is rare in the United States, and Sen. Phil has only seen three examples of this box. Scarce.
